German book on the success factors of platform business models published by Springer-Verlag

The German book “Erfolgsfaktoren von Plattform-Geschäftsmodellen: Exemplarische Analyse des Geschäftsmodells der Livestreaming-Plattform Twitch” has been published by Springer Verlag.

In this book, the success factors of platform business models are analysed using the example of the internationally successful livestreaming platform Twitch. With the help of an adaptation of the Business Model Canvas for two-sided platforms, the functioning of the business model is analysed. Understanding the success factors of Twitch described in the book can inspire founders and operators of digital platform business models and consultants in this field.

The book is aimed in particular at founders and operators of digital platform business models and consultants in this field, as well as lecturers and students in the field of digital business models.

The authors Britta Schammer, Claudia Hess and Mario Boßlau are experts in the field of digitalisation and have worked intensively on the Twitch business model. Schammer is an IT project manager, Hess is a professor of digital transformation and Boßlau is a professor of industrial engineering. All three work as consultants and support companies in digitalisation projects.

We look forward to learning more about the findings and insights from this book and recommend it to anyone interested in platform business models.
