Prof. Dr. Mario Boßlau
Prof. Boßlau’s work focuses on the analysis, development, and implementation of digital business models, as well as the study of complex socio-technical systems. Generative AI and automation serve as cross-cutting themes throughout his research and teaching.

Academic and Professional Background
After completing studies in Industrial Engineering, Prof. Boßlau earned his doctorate in Business Model Engineering at Ruhr University Bochum (Dr.-Ing., “summa cum laude”). His professional experience includes positions as an in-house consultant at Rheinmetall AG and as an innovation manager in international digitalization projects. He has also led interdisciplinary research teams within the German Research Foundation’s Collaborative Research Center Transregio 29. His academic and teaching approach is also shaped by extensive experience in designing and implementing digital learning formats, including AI-driven and automated methods.
